TV presenters in NHS data fears

I am afraid even with the best patient consent model, there will always be
illegal access to health records.  And you don't have to be a GP,
I understand  there will be  400,000 NHS smartcards out there. Every sports
personality, politician, entertainer and public figure could be targeted.
But so could my own family if I get too curious. Why don't surgeries in
Scotland move to Emis software which allows patients to have their records
on a personal encrypted Health eCard.  Most Scottish doctors don't like the
current software they are using anyway.
