Doesn't surprise me - Turnpike didn't when I was considering it using
demon's "free trial" which was a major factor of me not being willing to
 pay for it. I doubt they have updated it since then - pay-to-use mail
clients being a very small niche indeed these days.

What mailserver do you use that doesn't have TLS support?
