Ann is a UK citizen, living in the UK.  She's going to a crypto 
conference.  She'll want to take some paper publications, her paper 
research, electronic verions of her colleagues' research, some software 
(source and binaries) and some cryptographic hardware.  Ann has lots of 
plain text and lots of cipher text on her laptop.  When she gets to the 
conference she'll meet Bob, who's been working on similar problems.  
They'll share their information.

a) The conference is in an EU country. OR
b) The conference is in Turkey OR
c) The conference is in any other country you like

Q1) What UK laws does Ann have to be aware of?  Is she likely to have 
trouble with customs / airplane security if they ask her what all that 
technical stuff is?
Q2) How should Ann find out about any other laws that might affect her 
or Bob?
