There's a lengthy story about data pimping in today's Washington Post.
Phorm gets a mention for its activities over here; but two other
companies, NebuAd and Front Porch, are named for doing the same in
America. Interestingly, most US ISPs have *NOT* been telling their
customers that they've been inspecting packets for some time now.
Others have adjusted their terms and conditions, but all seem to be
doing a BT and running an 'opt-out' scheme:
