A bit off-topic, but I see the liquid bomb plotters have reached court.
We are told that the explosive is based on hydrogen peroxide mixed with
other unspecified chemicals - possibly Tang, the powdered soft drink,
for the sugar?

It is not clear whether it's just a mixture of peroxide and sugar, or
whether they were trying to make TATP on board as has been widely
suggested (though it's more than a bit impractical), though they were
clearly planning to use a seperate detonator.
I don't know whether a simple mixture of peroxide and sugar is
explosive, if so what peroxide concentration would be required, or how
powerful 500 ml of it might be - but I don't think it would crack an
airliner.
