Of course Phorm have over the last 6 weeks consistently compared their data
gathering to Google.

But the Phorm implementation is about as closely related to Google as the
National Coal Board.  Similarly with Cleanfeed and Google.

You can choose your search engine, change it several times a day if you
wish.  You can choose the websites you visit.  Your ISP is somewhat
different, with many people locked in contractually, geographically and with
co-bundled services.
