I'm afraid that this sort of language is indicative of the whole
problem. For the sake of expediency, you seem prepared to accept an
extraordinarily lax standard of security, and more importantly no
traceability and a lack of any audit trail. I have to say, if this is
the way that the medical profession behaves, then I think I'd like to
have much better control over my data and no way of allowing it to be
disseminated without my direct authorisation.
A good example of the road to hell being paved with good intentions...
