Gambling Commission applies for extension of RIPA powers

>From the GAMBLING COMMISSION E-BULLETIN - ISSUE 5

The Gambling Commission has applied to the Home Office
for an extension of its powers to obtain
communications data under the Regulation of
Investigatory Powers Act 2000. Increasing the
Commission’s current powers to obtain communications
data will allow the Commission to use its new powers
of legal powers of investigation and prosecution
effectively.
