Robinson is pretty inconvenient for anything outside of the University:(

It's in the wrong sort of posh residential area for B&Bs, for example.

Sleeperz would have been my recommendation (but already mentioned). 
Other cheap places tend to be in the Milton Rd/Huntingdon Rd area.
