You need need to run a wire from your tinfoil hat to each of your
feet, where you attach it to an ESD heel strap. You need to run a
wire to _both_ feet, because so long as you are walking rather than
running you will always have one foot grounded.
Of course, your heels will lift while walking, so you should buy
conductive shoes such as http://www.vermason.co.uk/products/
pers_grounding/esd_shoes.htm to ensure you always have a path to
ground. Since your opponents know where you live, and that's where
they focus their beams, conductive flooring will optimise the
efficiency of your shoe/ground interface. I was going to then
mention where you work, but that's not really an issue for the
tinfoil hat brigade, is it?
One might argue that the ~10MOhm resistance of ESD equipment is not
sufficient to provide an earthing path for your quasi-Faraday cage
around your head, but wearing low resistance paths from your head to
ground might be considered unwise...
