Yikes!
I always thought that 6,000+ paedophile total sounded a bit unlikely. I
guess there could be 6,000 paedophiles in the UK in total, but 6,000 who
visited one website?
And it seems that of the rest most, perhaps 90% or more of the 6,000+ total,
were simply people who had downloaded filthy pictures - filthy pictures of
adults. Which may be slightly shameful, but is not illegal.
After all the adult porn site was up for months, the kiddy porn link was
only on it for one day .. some Policemen seem to have lied about that .. and
anyone who paid for the adult site went on the list.
If that had been known I wonder how many warrants would have been issued?
At one of the Scrambling For Safety do's I met a Senior Policeman who seemed
especially keen to have Part III introduced. He said that he was (or had
been) something to do with Operation Ore, either OIC or 2IC iirc ....
