On regulators

Those that have faith in regulators might like to ponder the article at

starts off with:

"You couldn't make this up. Richard Thomas, the UK information 
commissioner, has found himself guilty of breaching the law he was 
appointed to enforce.

"In an extraordinary new judgement, Thomas says that he broke sections 
10 and 17 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 by failing to respond 
properly to a complaint by the environmental group, Friends of the 
Earth (FoE). He also breached the Act's code of practice."
