When I went to Spain some years ago my mobile would only allow me to call UK
numbers - so when I had to call a Spanish number I'd call a the uk number of
one of the "cheap phone call" phone cards available in shops, and get them
to call the Spanish number.


Use one card to call an Indian cheap call center in India - preferably one
with a human operator - who connect back to a UK number using another card,
and it's going to be pretty hard to trace.

Probably cost about 20p per minute - a good bit less than hospital phone
boxes or using a credit card in a public phone then.

Of course if you simply call from a phone box ...
