The Resale Price Maintenance Act, I think, but of what year I cannot now 
remember - possibly 1963 (the Macmillan Government, but Heath was probably 
at the DTI or its then predecessor).

What it did was make unlawful the contracts under which manufacturers had 
imposed on retailers an obligation not to sell below the minimum price they 
laid down, and the practice of withholding supplies from infringing retailers.
