The Guardian style guide, quite properly, points out that using
``schizophrenic'' to mean ``in two minds'' or ``holding inconsistent
views'' is both inaccurate as a characterisation of schizophrenia and
trivialising of a devastating illness.  I would have expected better of
the FIPR: you wouldn't refer to bad ideas as `spastic' and you probably
don't use `mongol' as a term of abuse.  I'm sure you can think of an
alternative phrase.
