I was searched, including having my shoes X-rayed, on arrival at Sea-Tac 
airport last summer. This was after Customs & Immigration, at the point 
where you leave the international arrival terminal to get to the 
domestic terminals.

They still failed to discover the scissors and knife I was carrying in 
my hand baggage (I'd totally forgotten about them; another security 
check found them a few days later).
