I take it that the Home Office will be looking at a law to allow the
police and other assorted bods to order the owners of such vaults to
open them up, on the police's own say so as in section 51 of RIP (as
far as I can understand the incredibly badly written drivel that is
in sections 49-51 of RIP and "schedule" 2. The innocent have nothing
to fear.
If the Home Office has no such plans then perhaps it could explain
the double standards it operates in relation to electronic protection
of information and physical protection of information.
