In the Westminster Parliament, perhaps.

However, whether this is important is debatable. How important is 
party politics and the ever changing array of ministers that appear 
for short periods and then leave rapidly before anything can be 
pinned on them? Answers on a(n electronic) postcard please.

There is plenty of opposition, however. For example Greenpeace and 
FoE on the issue of nuclear waste.
