Dear all,

All of my m'learned friends assure me that it's well-known that the
acquittal rate is much higher with juries as compared to magistrates, etc.
Also, such trials are far more expensive.

So of course the state wishes to restrict them!

I suspect this is something on which most of us would agree.

This does seem to be why the Westminster government is doing its best
to restrict the use of juries even more. Indeed there has been some
propaganda about juries that failed to convict people, even though
they had broken a dubious law.

This may even have a relevance to cryptography, when RIP martyrs get
to court.

I will *always* explain why I revoke a key, unless the UK
government prevents me using the RIP Act 2000.
