That's how IBM worked back in the old days.
Also NB each hardware component can be a different TCPA entity. The CD
drive or the modem or whatever have their own onboard CPU & memory
already. You might reprogram your PC to play subversive file, but no
good if the disk drive refuses to deal with them.
