Utterly amazing and extremely deeply worrying.
Higher Executive Officers are not very high and don't do anything
that is executive. Senior Executive Officers are not very senior and
don't do anything that is executive either.
It is clear from Ms Primarolo that we have been fed even more lies,
with this talk of only senior people being involved. If I believed in
RIP then I would have set the level of official "authorised to seek
access to communications data" at least at Grade 5, possibly Grade 4.
Allowing every HEO and SEO to do this sort of thing is indeed
allowing every Tom, Dick and Harriet to do it.
