And if instead of cutting and pasting it from your rapid rebuttal
machine, you actually read the article, you might see the next
paragraph:
Clearly there needs to be a balance struck between the competing
interests of crime detection and prevention, and the right of the
individual to privacy. I would argue that the balance today favours
the police at the expense of the individual?s rights, and needs to be
reset by laws that ensure that the right to privacy is protected.
You wouldn't want to be accused of selective quotation, would you?
