Netscape, IE,...

Fine,  bit IE is the majority user, and I'm not changing browser just to get
PDFs.

You've been fortunate.

It does seem to be site dependant - if it doesn't happen to you, it probably
never will unless or until you reinstall the reader and browser.

If it does happen to you, it will happen fairly often, but with no rhyme,
reason, or detectable pattern.
