Thanks. For all you patent lawyers out there, I might be able to offer
published prior art for many of the more generic claims in U.S. patent
6,330,670.
I published my prior art in the form of chapter 4 of my Master's thesis
http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/~mgk25/kuhn-da.pdf
which I handed in on 1996-07-32 at the University of Erlangen. I also
wrote an English description
http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/~mgk25/trustno1.pdf
of my invention which handed in on 1997-04-30 as an essay for the CS555
computer security class taught by Prof. Spafford at Purdue University,
Indiana.
Both publications have been available online on my home page shortly
after these dates and for more than 12 months before the U.S.
provisional patent application Ser. No. 60/105,891 was filed on
1998-10-26, which is the earliest quoted application related to U.S.
patent 6,330,670. I am fairly confident that my prior art invalidates at
least claims 1, possibly 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 10, 11, possibly 12, 13, 14, 15,
16, 17, 18, 19, and 21.
Just for the record ...
Markus
