[OT-ish] How big is the UK 'net?

Except my ISP refused to do it for me at that price - they want £75 per
month for wires only, but rather less if I take the BT terminating equipment
that I don't want because it doesn't suit my installation. Oh: I would have
to pay some exorbitant fee for connection and configuration if I took that
BT gear that I don't want.

So I got the cable modem, which I'm currently running on one system until I
can find the time to get a mate in to set up the router. Now I get lockups
due to an interaction (alleged) between the cable modem driver and Zone
Alarm.

Plus ca change, plus c'est la meme chose.
