And the weird thing is, if the Tories were in, the same people would
probably have been arguing on opposite sides.

I don't know what the MIBs put in the injections they give to new UK
cabinet ministers, but whatever it is it certainly removes all ability
to resist any suggestion put to them by any employee of the US spooks.
Of course if you asked them they would probably say they have matured
since the days they went on anti-war marches, and that they have access
to confidential briefings that have convinced them of the case, but
which they couldn't possibly share with you.
