Yes, and at the Dartford Tunnel. However, such arrangements are several
orders of magnitude more visible than the circumstances I described [1]
(perhaps you've forgotten). The approach road in question, in a very
built up area, is only just wide enough to be 2 lanes - one of which
will peel off for free, the other into the charging area.

if you happen to turn left rather than right you'll be due to pay."
