Apparently people tend to more and more accept what they are being told
without thinking for themselves.
Take the recent debate about your own private copy --- the more you tell
people it is theft, it is illegal etc. the more they believe in this.
And - with arguments like "well, of course you have the right to have your own
copy but you must admit that the economy relys on you and so your right has
to be limited" and stuff like that people tend to say "alright alright, I do
not want to be selfish" etc.
There might be users stroppy and stubborn enough - but to what price? How long
will it take to defend your right?
And - will people reconsider their opinion?
As lang as the "everything is fine"-mentality is going on, things like crypto,
things like defending your rights etc. will still be something like "exotic
pets"...
