I´ve found some references (e.g. Hinsley´s British Intelligence)
that, during the Spanish Civil War (1936-39), German and Italian troops,
as well as the spanish nationalist forces, used commercial-type Enigma
machines, which were broken by GC-CS by ´37. After the SCW, Germany
gave some Enigmas to the new spanish government.
I wonder if any of you has found further information or
references on the subject, so I´d appreciate any input. You can email
me at aquiran@ugr.es Thanks.
