The answer to this is fairly obvious, no. So-called security measures have not worked in the past
and are unlikely to work in the future. They simply give the impression of doing something which
the gullible can use to comfort themselves.
Instead of attacking technologies like encryption, whose good far outweighs the harm they can
permit, governments should be looking at what causes people to do such things.
