#define EVIL_CYNICISM
Ok: if you read the media today, the European Union is telling everybody
to encrypt their e-mails, in order to defeat the Evil Empire^H^H^H^H^Hchelon.
So: following the precepts of "Operation Mindfuck(TM)" - can we not
locate a convenient band of out-and-out loons[1] to go around and
scream frothingly that the European Union is promoting enforced
adoption of technology that "will protect paedophiles and criminals
and credit-card users alike, and that e-commerce in general is an evil
which should be knocked on the head as soon as possible so that we can
all return to an utopian agrarian society like in the 18th century?"
Something that will just whip-up the froth a bit more?
Hell, it's not like rational debate regarding "encryption for the masses"
has ever worked - not that it has ever been tried - so perhaps trying
to put the topic into irrational overdrive will achieve results...
