Another Elliptic Curve Challenge is getting underway and is now seeking
contributors to run the software and productively use spare cycles on their
machines.
Details of the challenge are available at:
http://www.nd.edu/~cmonico/eccp109
where several different versions of the software are available.
Certicom is offerring $10,000 for a solution and the intention is to offer
the bulk of this ($8000) to the Free Software Foundation.
Do join in if you can and earn money for the Free Software Foundation. This
might even support the GPG effort, the open source version of PGP.
For the curious my role has been to do some code improvement and to write
the software to harness spare cycles on Windows NT and Windows 2000 based
multi-processor systems (x86 only).
