Privacy and the use of cell phones.

Actually, loyalty scheme cards would be one of the best ways to approach
this problem with most people.
Point out that they are selling their personal information to the company in
return for discounts - therefore that information must have value.
Then point out that, by doing $FOO, they are allowing a company to gather
this obviously valuable information from them - with no benefit to
themselves. It always seems that, if you ever want to get the News of the
World crowd up in arms, just suggest that they are having taken from them
things they could sell for profit.... A sad viewpoint on the british public,
but unfortunately one that seems to work.
