(Rough) translation.

French officials stated on Wednesday that they were "stunned" and
"preoccupied" by the failures in the protection of data held by
the European Commission in Brussels and demanded that the
situation
   be remedied. =20
  =20
"The security of data held by the Commission is a matter of
serious
concern, taking into account the sensitivity and of the
confidentiality of information that may be held there," said the
spokesperson for the French Foreign Affairs Ministry, Fran=E7ois
   Rivasseau. =20
  =20
"We were astonished to hear of the statements made by those
responsible for the Commission's encryption systems and we have
made note of successive explanations given by the Commission on
   the subject," he added. [1]
  =20
"We await all the necessary guarantees on the protection of these
data," he announced. "We expect that there will be a report on
the situation in a Council committee [2]," he added. =20
  =20
"Generally, the protection of the confidentiality of sensitive
data concerns every institution of the EU and all of its Member
   States," he concluded. =20

Notes:

1 Lots of paraphrasing, rather than direct translation, in this
      paragraph.
2 Not quite sure about committee, rather than Council itself.
