Both CalTrans and the Golden Gate Bridge District also offer shielded bags
that customers can slip the transponders into when they would prefer to pay
cash. (Golden Gate gives them to everyone, but you have to ask CalTrans.)

Frank McGonigal, who manages the FasTrak project for CalTrans' contractor,
Adesta Transportation Systems of New Jersey, said he usually tucks the
transponder under his leg when he is testing the system and doesn't want the
toll to register . . .
