If 51% of the population vote to shoot the remaining 49%, that's
``democracy'' of a sort.  But the reason societies construct various
mechanisms to guard basic rights is to prevent just this sort of
situation.

And whever the State is selling justice, there's a few lawyers making a
good living.  Which is the Blair-Booth technique: he encourages Jack
Boots to pass laws which are not ECHR compliant, and then his wife gets
a fat retainer to prove it.  Money all around!
