Speak for yourself.
I was noticeably more useful at typical range with my SA-80 than with
the Lee-Enfield .303 or the SLR, and of course the real comparison was
with the 9mm Browning and SMG for my Corps.

Easier to carry than all except the Browning.

The sight was the main thing, of course.
