>The Police Special Branch is investigating the theft of a laptop computer
>containing sensitive data on Northern Ireland.
>The =A32,000 computer carrying coded information on Northern Ireland was
>snatched from an M15 intelligence agent at Paddington Underground station=
in
>central London.
Am thought somewhat odd (and have had others point out in classrooms) that
when not in use, the hard drive for my laptop is usually somewhere about my
person. 2.5" drives fit in about any pocket and is such a simple precaution
that it is surprising it is not even more widely used. Has been quite a few
years since I have had a notebook that did not have an easily removable=
drive.
AFAIR something similar happened around Desert Storm in London but that one
was resturned wasn't it ?
