 Couldn't you just turn it off? Ah, another message says you
 can't.  Yug. I'll go back to sleep.

 You should seriously consider dropping the broken software.

 Alternatively, put in your signature block "my digital signature
 is broken and I cannot turn it off."


 Otherwise people will keep noticing it, and every 100th one
 will ask the support desk if the fault is in THEIR software
 or start a long thread about it on the group/list.  Again.
