Splendid. I'm also aware that the arrival of _identical_ letters
from lots of people is anti-impressive.
Do I need to be very very careful to be absolutely exact in my
description of the situation? I don't spend as much time on this as
FIPR people, and would hope that to some extent I can get away with
saying "It seems that [...] but I was rather hoping Newsnight could ask
ministers embarassing questions repeatedly in an effort to find out if
things really work this way."
