and pretend it never happened?

Presumably that question was written by CC or one of his
poodles, and given to AM to ask?

That question is only a shade less authentic-looking than

"Would my hon friend like to explain to us how he became such
a great and inspiring leader?"

or

"Would my hon friend agree that he is $DEFAULT-DEITY's gift
to the human race?"
