But it is somewhat hysterical. Maybe this is inevitable since both sides are
seeking to appeal to emotions. But it does mean that we don't get much in
the way of facts emerging from this coverage.
In particular, Charles Clarke seems to be able to make inaccurate claims
about the Bill without being challenged because presenters don't seem to
have grasped many of the issues fully.
What we really need is national TV coverage with Clarke and friends facing
expert opposition in person in the studio. Somehow this seems unlikely but
maybe now there is national coverage we can push for this.
