You hardly learned what "civil liberties" and for that 
matter "privacy" means while you were a civil servant and your 
comments here prove that. You could argue that what Simon wrote is 
not true and therefore may well be defamatory but that is even very 
much debatable but this is hardly a "privacy" issue.
