The McLibel Two cannot (by definition) be "serious criminals". Libel
is a tort, not a crime (IIRC) :o)

No, just people who criticise big business or other governments.
Hence
the government and the Met's attitude to protestors against the
Chinese
regime --- they're a government, and big business is courting them.
In
a context like that, freedom of speech goes right out of the window.
