To put it another way:  I am happy that the decision has been made to
release future docs in PDF rather than Word format.  Many people are
wary of opening foreign Word docs due to security concerns (macro
virus problems); for me sitting at my Linux box, it is the difference
between being able to read it and not being able to read it.

It's a little unfair to be rude to people for making a fuss about
small matters like being unable to read the docs you've posted.  Think
that way and you're only a few steps away from the locked filing
cabinet in the disused lavatory with the sign on the door saying
"Beware of the Leopard"...
