1. "A new standard to facilitate electronic commerce has been
launched by Mrs Barbara Roche, UK Minister for Small
Firms, Trade and Industry. C:CURE-BS7799: a code of
practice for information security management - is the new
scheme for accredited certification against the British
Standard on information security. It aims to facilitate
electronic commerce by allaying fears about security, a
major deterrent to business users, and is the latest in a
series of announcements by DTI following the
Government's launch of 'Our Information Age'.
