Does anyone know Ionica does about privacy of its "lines"?

When I called their information number, I was eventually passed to
someone who said that the information was digitized and scrambled, but
could provide no other information.

[For those out of the UK, Ionica is a radio based fixed point telephone
service competing with the land line based companies. Their advertizing
slogan includes "There's something in the air".]
