Yet another effect of the new export rules

I teach a 12 lecture course to third year undergraduates which includes
about five lectures on cryptology. I introduce block ciphers using TEA,
whose definition is stated in C. This definition appears in the printed
lecture notes and the online version.

The class contains 20-25% non-UK nationals.

In order not to break President Beckett's new law, do I need to throw
out the foreigners, or stop teaching TEA?

It would be curious is President Beckett were to compel Cambridge
academics to teach only US and Russian designed block ciphers, while the
current best known Cambridge design of block cipher were embargoed
because its definition were given in terms of computer science rather
than (as with DES and GOST) in terms of electrical engineering.
