I don't know what would happen to crime (if I wanted to
spend government money on reducing crime I'd spend it
on streetlights, traffic-calming, cheap & clean public transport
and finding useful things for teenagers to do - but I suppose
I must be Old Labour -:) But if GCHQ were to have its budget
cut by 500 million it would probably still be the second
largest eavesdropping organisation in the world.
