Unless there are some very strange statements about how netscape can
be further developed, it seems that it would be trival to hack it
to work with the SSLeay libraries. After all, this is exactly what
gets done for lynx. (lynx source is distributed in the US, the SSLeay
libraries are distributed elsewhere, and the patches to the lynx sources
to use SSLeay are distributed in a few locations (I think I got mine
from Austria). All of the locations are available from the lynx FAQ or
the lynx home page http://www.lynx.org/ . Presumably someone will do
the same for Netscape.
